i dare you to move like today never happened.

so i'm sitting around listening to guys with taking back sunday voices, & during the song you keep looking up at me with a weird look on your face.

after the song is over you put your mouth too close to the microphone(you sing that way, too.) & say, "i just found something out."

& everyone expected you to say something insightful, brilliant, poetic, heart stopping, because this music, these people, these clothes..it was all screaming something about our generation, like we're a part of something, in this together, i swear we were infinite

everyone holds their breath like this man has the words to save souls.

he's about to unveil his revelation; "with the lights & everything, if i angle my guitar like this, i can see your faces."

everybody laughed, a moment passed

"no i'm serious." he said as he tilted & looked at the guitar, "theres sage!"

it might not have been what the crowd expected, but it sure as hell stopped my heart when you looked up from the reflection & grinned at me.

somewhere along the way, either when we were watching the simpsons, or when you were on stage singing, i realized this isnt the kind of thing i'll grow out of.
